I say this with some confidence and am left to wonder what happened to the CDC has a whole.  I have involvement with past responses (Swine flu and Avian flu run-up), and the planning is exquisite. In the case of avian flu, this occurred long before the expected outbreak would occur. When the avian flu prep was going on, we hadn’t had a human infected with the virus yet. What we did have were vaccination plans, monitoring, response teams, and how we would deploy front line resources.  There were orders for shelter in place designed to come from the White House.  The chief architect? Anthony Fauci.  George W Bush awarded Dr. Fauci with the Presidential Medal of Freedom.

The presidential medal of freedom diminished in stature after being handed to the likes of Rush Limbaugh.

Of course, good old Facebook has hundreds of posts about the administration firing the Pandemic response team.  Keep spreading this, blah blah blah.  Yeah, its lovely Susan, but the man has walked up the stairs of Air Force One with toilet paper on his shoe. In other words, he could give a fuck less about you as long as his ratings are good.

The question I have is, why the fuck is this partisan? Who gives a fuck about your party? I have seen this disease plant both Dems and Repubs equally. What kind of sick mind does it take to think that somehow Nancy Pelosi or Chuck Schumer, or even Mitch McConnell came up with the idea of a fake pandemic or to over hype things? This is not the case, and yes, Susan, people are dying from this crap.  There are a lot of Americans that are under shelter in place orders.  There are many more that have been able just to stay home. I have been home long enough that I am thrilled when I get to go to the office since it is nice enough to ride the motorcycle now.

Even with the weather improvement, I stay at home or ride only to and from work.  Sucky, I know; however, it is necessary to contain the spread of this COVID 19 virus. Yeah, that goes for Dems, Repubs, and libertarians. Please don’t be a douche and stop listening to the minutia that has pundits trying to get the population to believe that this is somehow a partisan hoax.

Trump’s National Security Advisor at the time, John (you need wax on your mustache and to be less of an asshole), Bolton shrank the department as “overweight and unnecessary.” Ok, Sparky, well, you are long gone from your job.  I swear to fuck that this administration has a higher turn-over in employment than your neighborhood Micky D’s. So we are stuck with the fruits of Bolton’s/Trump’s “cost-saving” decision. Doing this is like eliminating the Navy and trying to manage it with just the Army and the Air Force, and oh yeah, the “Space Force.” So we lose a massive amount of protection for? So like any poor manager, we get a rush job response to this pandemic focused on PR, cuz you don’t want Donnie to appear as fucked up in this as he truly is.

The pandemic response begins long before there is even a hint that a particular disease will spread on a global scale. These are folks that do nothing but look for novel viruses/bacteria and their spread.  It’s a lot like CETI in the respect that they spend a shit load of time monitoring things.

They hope to have the response started before the disease is on top of us.  When you think about it, think about the first Independence Day.  We waited to do anything until the mother ship was on top of us.

Once the pandemic team spots this possibility, they focus on it and work with the nation that the disease is spreading within.  One thing these days is that it takes nothing to get on a plane and take your disease to another country. A country that has not established a herd immunity.

The team also sets up the national resources to flex and help individual states, not just the ones that kiss Donnie’s fat, saggy, zit covered, diapered ass. It shouldn’t work that way.  Those stockpiles are planned based on projections by this office.  Not having a response team, is like I said not having the Navy and deciding to get the SS Minnow at the last minute as sea force projection.

It also shouldn’t work with state governors just thumbing their nose at the science and the tracking because they are more worried about letting people go to church.  Funny (not haha) part is that church services have proved to be a boon on new COVID cases. Guess you should be dialed in with Jesus, because going to church may give you a chance to meet him.

Look, it doesn’t take a lot to put aside the partisanship and say, “We need to do it this way,” suck up the pain of the temp changes and follow the science in all of this. Follow the science, please, with sugar on top.

Yeah, I am bitching, but honestly, I see far too many fucking people acting like this is some conspiracy against dog only knows who. This continuous fetish we have with conspiracy theories comes from the constant gaslighting that comes from the White House and Congress. Thus why I am exhausted and tired of hearing it.
