Stay in your lane and shut your mouth…

Gotta love Maxine Waters, the democratic representative of the 43rd District in California. Yesterday during what can only be called is more “former guy” drama in a House subcommittee, Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) entered a heated exchange then talking over Dr. Anthony Fauci about Covid restrictions. The exchange finally resulted in Maxine telling Jim to “shut his mouth.”

The story is in the Independent. It is the usual nonsense that comes out of the Kool-Aid crowd.

During a House subcommittee hearing about the federal government’s response to the pandemic, Mr. Jordan asked the infectious disease expert when Americans could expect relaxation to physical-distancing and mask-wearing guidance.

Specifically, the Ohio conservative wanted to know when Americans could get their “liberty and freedom” back.

So Jim, just what kind of “freedom and liberty” do you want back? Is that the freedom and liberty to cause an amazingly harsh burden on families and this country dealing with a pandemic? Or is it the freedom to allow wrestlers on a team you coached to be molested by a team doctor with your knowledge?

Simply curious there, Jimmy, because I think you still have some ‘splaining to do as to why you enjoy male rape.

As I pointed yesterday the same, “freedom and liberty” crowd seemed to have no problem with the restrictions placed on travelers and our country post 9/11. Liberty and freedom do have their place; however, let’s be honest, if we are willing to suspend those liberties because airplanes flew into buildings, we should be ready to do the same for something that has caused 149 times the deaths on 9/11. I mean, maybe I am high (Nah, I came down a couple of hours ago) but wearing a mask and being socially distant is much easier than the security theater I endure when I fly.

Dr. Fauci, of whom I am a huge fanboy (yeah, I am geeky like that), retorted with an excellent reply.

“You’re indicating liberty and freedom. I look at it as a public health measure to prevent people from dying and going to the hospital,” Dr. Fauci said, adding that vaccinations would help bring life back to normal.

Again, with the maskhole behavior, however, Fauci came right back.

Mr. Jordan criticized Dr. Fauci for sharing the message of wearing a mask and social distancing more than one year into the pandemic. Still, the infectious disease expert said that wouldn’t change unless more Americans received a vaccine.

Do you see what kind of stupid crap we must put up within the medical field? In all honesty, “I don’t believe this, so you are wrong. Look bitches; I studied to get my RN for almost four years. Spend 20 years as a registered nurse in some capacity, and then I obtained my NP (which was no small feat, mind you). Your 20 minutes on google because you have a rash or the belief that this is “no worse than the common cold,” because some uninformed politician says it is, is just that…a belief. Believe what you want, and then make sure you tell them that when they are placing you on a vent.

I somewhat apologize for being so harsh about this; the truth here is that this happens whether you believe it or not (I can still hear Jack Palance say that line from the Old Ripley’s Believe it or Not TV show).

As for Mr. Jordan, the doctor he should have called to task is Dr. Richard Strauss, a team doctor at Ohio State for molesting and raping college wrestlers. Then I guess republicans like rape. If that comment bothers you, prove me wrong. ANYTHING other than denouncing sexual assault and demanding accountability is support for sexual assault. I know what you are thinking, “shit, nursiepoo is on that again.” No, I never left that soapbox.

Fauci, who wrote the damn textbook used for Internal Medicine (yeah, no shit, I went back and looked at it), also countered with

“You’re making this a personal thing, and it isn’t… my recommendations are not a personal recommendation. It is based on the CDC guidance … we’re not talking about liberties. We’re talking about a pandemic that has killed 560,000 Americans”.

Back to this belief and false love of freedoms thing. Back to, could we just all agree to a social contract instead of all this entitlement? Apparently not.

Well, as always, be the kind of person your dog and your mom hope you are.
